Successful Sebring debut for ChromeCars

Two victories for Marco Werner

Oliver Mathai and Marco Werner confidently win the GT class at the 12 Hours Sebring Classic. After Marco Werner was able to win the Global GT Race on Thursday, there was the second victory for the ChromeCars Aston Martin in Sebring on Sunday. The GT3 prepared by Britec Motorsport was already the fastest GT car in almost all training sessions. Sebring freshman Oliver Mathai was both shocked and fascinated by the track in Florida. “It’s unbelievable how bad this track is and the cars are jumping around demanding. On the other hand, the route is interesting and fun. A track with a great tradition »said Oliver Mathai, who shared the 2013 Aston Martin GT3 with the triple Sebring winner Marco Werner. Former factory Aston Martin in Bilstein livery starts in 2013 at the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring and is now used by ChromeCars in historic racing.

“Nice to start again in Sebring,” said the three-time overall winner of 2003, 2005 and 2007 Marco Werner. «I drove the two night stint and with a good speed and a good pit stop, I was able to work out a lap lead. It was a lot of fun and somehow it felt like always. I immediately recognized all the bumps and was able to implement my experience quickly. I’m especially happy for my partners ChromeCars and Britec Motorsports, who launched the car here. Nice that we were able to be equally successful on our debut, but we really wanted to gain experience for the next year. The company ChromeCars still has a lot going for it, “said Marco Werner after his Sebring success.
